Lawn Maintenance Pricing
Our goal at First Response Land is to keep things simple. From transparent pricing to being easy to contact, we want to make your life easier, not more stressful! Below you will find standard Lawn Maintenance pricing based upon Turf Square Footage. This is simply a guideline, and the terrain of your property may cause an increase or decrease from these numbers, but this is a "Ballpark" figure for you to keep in mind. If you'd like an exact Estimate, please feel free to reach out to us.
These prices show a cost per service, whether it be weekly or bi-weekly. We require customers to maintain a weekly service schedule at least from April through May and September through October, when we get higher amounts of rain. During the hotter summer months, we may move you over to a bi-weekly schedule. Mowing season is generally April 1 through October 31, though in our area the start and end to the season may vary by several weeks due to temperatures and weather.
Please Note: 2022 Minimum Price Per Yard for New Clients is $50. Existing Clients Pricing that is below this level may remain in place. Pricing starts at $50 and up when signing up for Weekly Maintenance.
BiWeekly Service is no longer available Through First Response Land, as it does not allow us to ensure the Yards always look up to our standards!
All new Clients will be required to be Full Service Clients. For more information on those Services, Check out our Full Service Property Maintenance Page:

Variables that May Affect your Price
Shape: An oddly shaped lawn with many mulch/flower beds or other obstructions will take more time to mow and edge than a rectangular yard. Access: Small gates into back yards prevent the use of our larger mowers and as a result increases our time on the property. Also, issues with parking on the street can cause an increase in time on site. Clippings: Based on times of year we will vary whether we bag or mulch the lawn. If you require us to bag and dispose of clippings weekly, that will result in an increase in price. |
"My LAWN HASN'T BEEN MOWED IN A WHILE AND IT LOOKS OVERGROWN..."
On the very first service, if the lawn is overgrown, is may take the crew 2-3 times longer to mow the yard and service the property. This initial service will cost extra to established the defined edges and appropriate grass height that will set your yard apart from the rest. Following the first service, prices will fall in line with the standard pricing.
"My Lawn only takes 15 minutes to mow. why does it cost $50?"
We have a minimum weekly charge of $50. Even if the lawn is only 1000 sqft, we still must charge our minimum service charge. Our trucks, trailers, insurance, fuel and other expenses require us to set this minimum fee.
"My Last guy did it cheaper and spent more time in my yard!"
We understand that we are not the cheapest or most expensive service in the area. We pride ourselves on being fully legal and insured for the work we provide. Many who underbid jobs don't follow all of the standards set forth in New Jersey. We understand that some may not care about their Lawn Care crew being Insured and Registered with the state, but we prefer to go by the books.
As far as time, our crew uses fully commercial equipment that allows us to do quality work in less time based on the size and power of these machines. While they may be larger and heavier, they won't harm your yard. We take extra care in wet weather to ensure that we are using lighter equipment to avoid this harm.
And remember, the reason you're calling us is because the "last guy" is the last guy. For one reason or another, it didn't work out. They may have provided lesser service, or may not have been able to sustain their business at those prices.

"Can you perform fertilization and weed control treatments too?"
Fertilization and Weed Control requires various licenses in the state of NJ that we currently do not have. As a result and to avoid fines, we do not provide Fertilization and Weed Control. We do suggest to any customers who are interested to reach out to EcoLawn. They are a great company that services many of our clients and also take care of fertilizer and weeds at our office. You will not be disappointed if you combine First Response Land's Lawn Maintenance and EcoLawn's Fertilization and Weed Control Service!
